Never stop dreaming...
For in dreams...
You never stop living...
Hope is the last thing you lose...
If you have love...
You have everything...
All very wise words.
But when you lose what you most love,
your most precious possession,
how can you keep dreaming?
how can you keep living ?
how can you hope for something
when you have lost everything you
care about...?
your dream...?
your hope... ?
simple answer...
you dream and hope for love
I love the simplicity of this poem along with the wisdom. So many people have gone through such loss and this was all they had to cling to; hope. I was wondering about the use of all of the question marks. As the author, why did you decide to put so many of them?
ReplyDeleteI don't want you to take them out, I just want you to tell me about your process as you wrote this piece.
As I wrote this poem I was actually thinking of my own questions. In the biggining I was going to leave it all a question and not answer it. but as I kept going I came up with more and more questions and only one answere. The answer simed obvious and my last question that this poem left me with and that I didn't add to the poem was. How did I not see the answere any sooner.
